Finalists include educational software, digital content, online learning services and related technologies across the PreK-20 sector.

Virtual simulation delivers real-world scenarios anytime/anywhere
vSim for Nursing, developed in collaboration with Laerdal Medical, is an interactive, personalized simulation experience, and was named as a finalist in the Best Virtual Lab category. vSim for Nursing is designed to help nursing faculty deliver real-world clinical experiences for students to hone the clinical judgement, competence and confidence needed to transition to practice. Based on simulation scenarios developed with the National League of Nursing, each course area includes a variety of patient diagnoses and situations that help students develop complex decision-making and reasoning skills. The SIIA CODiE Awards is the only peer-reviewed program to showcase business and education technology’s finest products and services. Since 1986, thousands of products, services and solutions have been recognized for achieving excellence. Educators and administrators serve as judges and conduct the first-round review of all education nominees. Their scores determine the SIIA CODiE Award finalists which accounts for 80% of the overall score. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products and the scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Education Technology category winners will be announced during an online winner announcement celebration June 23, 2021.
