EdTech Breakthrough today announced that it has selected Immerse as winner of its “Language Learning Innovation of the Year” award, in its third annual awards program. The leading market intelligence organization recognizes the top companies and solutions in the global educational technology market.
Immerse is an edtech startup which has developed a Virtual Reality language teaching and learning platform for English language students. Within the platform, learners are guided in real-time by their language teacher as they walk through, communicate, and collaborate with their peers. Learners work together to explore a variety of scenes, manipulate items, respond to challenges and solve problems synchronously.
Students can also choose an avatar from the Character Dashboard and step into a realistic scene in order to role play scenarios in a fun, authentic way. Furthermore, students learn without real-world distractions such as notes and smartphones, allowing for a fully immersive experience.
