Written Interview Submission Guidelines

See Details

  • A written interview is a Q&A done with questions and answers submitted for publication. Questions are created and the interviewee answers them on his/her own time in written format.
  • The questions can be prepared by BSM or submitted by the interviewee for review. BSM encourages interviewees to create their own questions, as they usually know what they’d like to be asked in order to touch upon all the information they’d like to share with our readers. BSM will work together with the interviewee to make any adjustments to the questions if needed.
  • The number of questions in a written interview can be no less than 5 and no more than 15. Recommended number is 8 – 10 questions.
  • Answers can be as long as the interviewee would like. Recommended length is 1 – 4 paragraphs.
  • When submitting a written interview, a headshot and bio of the interviewee must be included.
  • The published written interview cannot be submitted to any other websites or any other publications, but we do encourage linking to the Q&A on BSM once it has been published with a short teaser if desired.
  • As BSM is an online, reader-contributed, publication, it is not bound by traditional print deadlines. Therefore, all contributed content is placed in a queue and subsequently published in the order in which they are received, unless a posting date has been previously discussed.
