At Paysend, we’re on a mission to create a world without borders. And seeing as how the U.S.-Canadian border is the world’s longest international boundary between two countries, we’re excited to help commerce flow more freely across North American lines SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) May 05, 2021

Since launching its United States operations in September 2020, today global end-to-end payments provider Paysend announced that U.S. consumers can now electronically send money to friends and family in Canada. The expansion allows U.S. residents to transfer funds to 70+ different countries, in the respective currencies.

To get started, U.S. residents will simply download Paysend on their mobile device, create an account and designate a desired amount and recipient. Then, the funds will be delivered in CAD to the recipient’s Canadian bank account via Interac, one of Canada’s most trusted financial brands. The money will be transferred within hours to any of the major Canadian financial institutions.

“At Paysend, we’re on a mission to create a world without borders. And seeing as how the U.S.-Canadian border is the world’s longest international boundary between two countries, we’re excited to help commerce flow more freely across North American lines,” said Matt Montes, Paysend’s U.S. President. “The U.S.-Canadian border might still be closed due to the pandemic, but we’re proud that Paysend can help friends and family stay connected.”

Fueling North American Growth

In order to support Paysend’s growing U.S. presence, the company recently welcomed new North American hires:

Lenis Guzman joins Paysend as senior marketing manager, having spent the majority of her career in marketing leadership roles at Univision Communications Inc. Paula Vasco was hired to serve as Paysend’s U.S. operations manager, bringing with her nearly 10 years of mobile, FinTech and international business experience. Joseph Fincher joins the Paysend team as a product manager, having more than a decade of experience in FinTech. Before joining Paysend, Joseph served as a product manager at Mastercard. Tyler Coleman was also hired as a product manager for Paysend, with nearly two decades of experience, having spent most of the time in the payments and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining Paysend, Tyler served as a senior product owner at CoreLogic. “As residents see the value, ease and efficiency of transferring money via Paysend, our U.S.-based transaction volume continues to grow,” Montes continued. “In fact, since launching Paysend’s services in the U.S. last September, transactions have increased by 165%. We’ve found knowledgeable and experienced team members in Lenis, Paula, Joseph and Tyler, and together, we will keep expanding our domestic operations as we change how money is moved around the world.”

To celebrate the expanded services, Paysend is waiving transfer fees from the U.S. to Canada until June 1, 2021. To start sending money to Canada, U.S. residents can create a Paysend account today, and download the Paysend mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
