SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–NoRedInk, an adaptive writing curriculum used in more than 60 percent of U.S. school districts, now offers seamless integration with the Canvas learning management system (LMS). This integration makes it easy to access personalized, high-interest writing exercises within Canvas, a popular platform used by millions of educators and students.

For the first time, teachers and students can experience NoRedInk within the familiar Canvas user interface. The new integration allows teachers to sign into Canvas to access NoRedInk, easily assign NoRedInk activities and exercises using native Canvas rosters, and view up-to-date progress within the Canvas gradebook. Students will also enjoy a more streamlined experience, logging into one system to see all of their classwork and grades.

“School districts want more than anything to bring every one of their students to a baseline level of literacy skills,” said Jeff Scheur, NoRedInk’s CEO and founder. “NoRedInk’s robust integration with Canvas makes it so much easier for districts to do that. It allows all their kids to hone their language skills and work through the writing process in one centralized learning hub.”

“NoRedInk’s highly engaging and responsive curriculum stands out among edtech tools,” said Trenton Goble, VP of K-12 Strategy at Instructure. “We’re thrilled to offer our customers an integrated experience that furthers Canvas’ goal to maximize learning.”

School districts that piloted the integration were delighted with the seamless experience. “NoRedInk was already my favorite way to support writing and grammar growth in my classroom, but the Canvas integration has been a total game changer,” said Allison Holicky, a past Teacher of the Year at Oxnard Union High School District in California. “Assigning material has never been easier, and my students loved that their scores updated automatically as they worked through practices.”
