FOSTER CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Exabeam, the security analytics and automation company, today announced head coach of the Golden State Warriors, eight-time NBA champion, and U.S. Olympic gold medalist Steve Kerr will be the keynote speaker at the company’s fourth annual users’ conference, Spotlight21, taking place Oct. 4-6. Known as a smart, determined thinking-man’s coach and player, Kerr will sit down with Exabeam CEO and President Michael DeCesare on Oct. 5 to discuss leadership, teamwork, and how playing smart has led to a winning career.

The theme of this year’s Spotlight event is “Outsmart the Odds.” Outdated cybersecurity tools and legacy approaches stack the odds against security teams and keep them in the dark. Exabeam is the only security company to automate threat detection, investigation, and response (TDIR). At Spotlight21, Exabeam customers will learn how to get more out of their Exabeam Fusion SIEM and Exabeam Fusion XDR deployments and how their peers use Exabeam products to modernize security operations to tip the scales back in their favor.

Spotlight21 will also offer access to insights and knowledge from today’s top CISOs, including Delta Air Lines CISO Deborah Wheeler, who will also join DeCesare in a conversation about security at scale in the aviation industry.

“Similar to professional sports, every day is game day for CISOs and analysts. Security teams are up against overwhelming odds sifting through millions of security alerts, dealing with an ever-expanding attack surface, and constantly evolving and well-organized adversaries. They have to be on their game every second of every day to protect their organizations,” said DeCesare. “Outsmarting the odds is a team sport. As a career champion, Steve Kerr knows this better than anyone. With a leadership style defined by commitment, integrity, and grit, we are honored to share his perspective on what it takes to win as a team.”

Beginning his eighth season as head coach, Kerr has guided the Golden State Warriors through its most prolific seasons in NBA history with a list of accomplishments that includes three NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018), five-straight NBA Finals appearances (2015-2019), and being named NBA Coach of the Year for the 2015-2016 season. Prior to coaching, he made the playoffs 11 times in his NBA playing career, earning three championships with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs.
